Why Self-care
Self care is important for everyones wellbeing. A major barrier to our wellbeing is when we neglect ourselves, and make a habit out of it. Stress is a part of every day life, but how we cope and deal with stress determines how we can make the best of each day, and feel happy. When we are stressed we are less productive, prone to mistakes and generally enjoy life less. Although we cannot remove stress from our lives we can change the way we navigate the world and how we respond to situations. Just like watering a plant, we need to nurture and take care of ourselves. Self care is such an important part of this, which is why we should spend time each day to take care of ourselves. Simple ways to practice self-care are:
Spend time on a hobby
Talk with friends and family for enjoyment
Get good sleep
Enjoy a nutritional and balanced diet
Enjoy nature
Self care improves your mood, your relationships, well-being and happiness.
